Typical bakery and pastry shop in Porto. Very good Portuguese pastry at an affordable price. There is a lot of choice and they are all very tasty. Good service and staffs. A must try when in Porto. I recommend.
This place ended up as our favorite Pastelaria in Porto. A lot of locals and warmth here. Kinda rough around the edges/traditional place where you also get a huge variety of everything - Pastel de Nata (our fav in Porto) puff, tart, tarts, Berliner - and tasty tasty coffee.
Simply one of the best pastry shops in Portugal. Great prices and a great selection. Things are well baked and very tasty. We come every time we are in Porto and always get something different and are never disappointed.
An absolutely gem hidden behind the main road. We're so happy we found this place by accident. We were on our way to majestic cafe but then we spotted this place, and we couldn't be happier with confeitaria do bolhao! It's rich in history and the interior design still remains like in year 1896. They offer hot bread every day and fresh juice of the day, the whole breakfast menu has very fair price for what it offers . Not to mention all the beautiful and tasty pastries .
I agree about the quality of pastries. And selection. As for coffee, I’ll leave others to decide. I love a good, intense espresso such as is easily found in Italy. I’ve found very few such in Porto and this certainly was not one of them. Definitely does seem still to be largely populated by locals, especially in the early morning hours. Later on it’s so crowded it seems impossible to tell what is what.
Who can look into the window and not be enticed by this cave of tasty treats! For today I had the Bola de Berlim and the filling was a creamy indulgence. Wonderful and a bakery steeped in tradition.
